Beloved Star Pat Finn, Known For Parts in The Middle and Friends, Passes Away at Age 60.

Stateside actor Finn, who featured in beloved TV shows like "Friends", Seinfeld and "The Middle", has died at 60 years old.

The comedy and improvisation performer passed away at his residence in Los Angeles, California recently following treatment for cancer from 2022 onward, per reports.

"He never met a stranger - only friends he had yet to meet," his loved ones said in a statement.

They noted that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with happiness and energy".

A Prolific Television Career

Finn's first television role was in the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he played the brother of the main character.

He also had a repeating character on Murphy Brown between 1995 and 1997.

He appeared as Joe Mayo in Seinfeld in the late 90s, portraying a social organizer famous for delegating burdensome jobs to his guests.

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, he appeared as a guest star on several hit series, like:

  • "King of Queens"
  • "Friends"
  • That '70s Show
  • House

His most famous role for his portrayal of the character Bill Norwood in The Middle, starring in eight seasons of the show from 2011 to 2018.

His film credits are "It's Complicated" and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).

A Life in Improv

Outside of his acting parts, Finn was a skilled improviser and worked as a teacher at the University of Colorado, where he was an adjunct professor.

He was involved with a comedy group of six named Beer Shark Mice.

"Pat guided, supported, and advised many learners during his career and you'd be hard-pressed to find a person who has a bad thing to say about him," his relatives stated.

Offering condolences, fellow actor Richard Kind noted there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, down to earth person you could encounter".

"Always positive, helping you be funnier and better. A great dad, a great guy," he posted online.

The actor is remembered by his partner Donna, three children, and his family.
