England's Coach Southee Uncertain on The Ashes Participation

England bowling consultant Tim Southee is still working through the extent of his role will be during the forthcoming Ashes contest in Australia.
The former Kiwi pace bowler is expected to be present for the opening match due to his involvement in the ILT20 tournament, which starts on 2 December in the United Arab Emirates.
The 36-year-old, 36, took up a position as England's fast bowling consultant in the summer after taking 391 scalps in 107 Tests for the Kiwis.
Commenting as the English squad for the first of three Twenty20 games against the Kiwis was named, Southee stated of his participation: "We're still working through the situation at the moment.
"We will determine what happens over the next little while."
English pace icon Broad had declared the Australian team as their "weakest squad since 2010", but the consultant was in little doubt over what to expect during the contest, which starts on 21 November.
"In my view there's ever a poor Australian cricket team," he remarked.
"The team's attention is squarely on our own objectives. I think the caliber of [the English] side that's going out to the host country is brilliant.
"It ought to be an absolute cracker, that series. Not only [are|do] fans from both nations looking forward to it, I think the entire cricketing community is."
However, before England head to the city of Perth for the first Ashes match, they face the Kiwis in Christchurch on Saturday.
